Patient portal for labs: secure access without publishing medical content

A patient portal lets people download their own approved report using MR number and password from the receipt. It is operational software, not medical publishing.

Patients often ask whether Lab Flow Pro is a “health website.” It is not. The public marketing site describes laboratory management software. The patient portal is a private login tied to a single lab visit.

How credentials work

When reception completes registration, the receipt prints an MR number (login ID) and password. The patient uses those credentials on the lab’s portal URL — often a branded subdomain — to download an approved report. No account signup, no public profile, no indexed medical articles.

When download is blocked

Labs can require full payment before release. If results are still pending approval, the portal shows a clear status instead of an empty file. This keeps operational rules in software rather than phone tag at the front desk.

Why this matters for compliance

A portal is authenticated access to a patient’s own record — similar to a bank statement login — not general health publishing. Your lab remains the data controller; the platform provides the technical workspace and access controls configured by your administrator.
